Q - has anyone else noticed a change in the Chest drops after the big patch on monday ?

I was previously to that patch chest farming, kurzick side as im looking for a gothic sword, i wont say where, and the drops were good 80% of them were items from factions and 1 in 4 were gold.

But since the patch i noticed that the gold drop rate went down to 1 in 6 and the factions item rate went down to 40%.

Just to clarify that this isnt some oh ive use 20 keys, ive opened 544 high end chests according to the crummy title thingy, so that gives you an idea of how many keys ive used, yes yes ok some one is going to scream how much gold did you spend! you could have brought that gothic sword for that! which is true but i also found other items i need and managed to convert item sales in to more keys allowing me to open more chests(altho still running at a loss which is expected).

Ive come to the conclusion that its one of 4 things,
1. The patch on monday(this is the most likely, as some of the chests i was farming have moved locations, (glitch in the matrix, that many chest and you notice things).
2. The fact that the silly title has something to do with chests other than being a title.
3. They have implememted a chest farming restriction similar to the standard farming restrictions.
4. Im going crazy cos ive opened to many chests.

Well im still going to continue this, but i will supply my key needs by faction farming and amber sales, they tried to nurf that as well on monday, which only made it harder for others to get amber, making it better for me.

You are just getting paranoid because of the number of chests you've opened.

Happens to me alot. I get a low streak of 5-6 purple chests in a row and for a second I think...could they have nerfed it? and then it all evens out again and I get more golds. Worst thing you can do is stop using up your bought keys, because then you really wont have a chance for it to turn around, you'll be Working on a loss.

I dont get your thing about Factions Items though...I get TONS of Holy Branches, Gothic Swords, Wicked Blades, Amber Wands, Amber Longbows, Amber Staves, etc.

GJ on Adept Hunter though. I'm working towards that. My Spot I use is alittle slow though (I leave from Altrium Ruins into Arborstone, cut up and past the group in the hall, and a chest usually spawns around that necro ele and monk boss in that area) ...Where abouts do you do it?
